In the last 2 years we have stopped new planting to focus on our existing assets, increasing productivity & sustainability.
This year for the first time, the majority of our 150 thousand planted hectares are in the prime age. Prime means 8 years old & above. Given interest payments & depreciation, this is the age we expect a net profit.
In 2017 as the majority of our Plantations reach prime, our average age is 8 years. We’ve come a long way from 3.5 years in 2010. As we are not planting at the moment, our average age will rise by 1 every year.
We have 8 mills & a 9th under construction, to be completed in 1H 2018. 8 mills are in Kalimantan, 1 in West, 3 in Central, 2 in South & 2 in East. 9th mill is in Papua. Total capacity 2.5 million tons of fruit per year, will rise to 2.75 million.
