Based on the results of the Forum Group Discussion (FGD) involving Sampanahan Village community leaders, there are several conclusions that strengthen to be discussed and realised immediately.
We need to know that Sampanahan Village is a village with good fishery potential. Thus, community development was agreed to develop this potential..
The village has the potential for freshwater fisheries and capture fisheries, for which the company is also committed to maintaining the quality of river water flowing through the village to remain in good quality.
According to the results of the FGD, as an initial stage the Company has provided fishing nets for the development of capture fisheries in the village. The next development is freshwater fisheries which have actually been fostered several years earlier.
The development of freshwater fisheries potential will begin by revitalising previous programs with fostered fish farmers.
This meeting was held and attended by representatives of the EGP Group, Village Government, officials and community leaders of Sampanahan Village.
The Company always conducts regular meetings with its stakeholders, especially those around the Company's concession area, at least once a year to build harmonious relationships.
It is expected that through communication and strong relationships, both the Company and the village community, can avoid and minimise the emergence of potential conflicts.
